Water Tanker Booking

Privacy

Water Tanker Booking connects households in AECHS, Rawalpindi with local water tanker operators. This page says exactly what it keeps about you and why. Last updated 12 August 2026.

What is collected

Your account

Your name, phone number and email address, and a password you choose, stored only as a scrambled hash that cannot be turned back into the password. Your phone number is needed because a delivery is arranged by phone — the driver has to be able to reach you.

Your addresses

The sector, house number, street, block and any landmark you enter, and the name of the home owner if you give one. If you use Use my current location, the app asks the phone for your position and saves those coordinates against that address so a driver can be given a pin. You can decline; typing the address works just as well. Location is only read when you tap that button.

Your orders

What you ordered, when, from whom, the price, the delivery address, and the rating and comments you leave afterwards. Orders are kept as a record for both sides of the delivery.

If you drive or run tankers

While a delivery is in progress, the driver’s app reports its position so the customer can see the tanker approaching. This is tied to the delivery and stops when the delivery is finished. Businesses also record their tankers, drivers, prices, and what they owe the app in fees.

Calls

When you press call, the app records that a call was requested, between which two people and about which order. It does not record the call itself or its contents. Phone calls placed through the app are connected without showing either side the other’s number. If you choose WhatsApp instead, your number is shared with the other person — the app tells you so before it opens WhatsApp.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the phone gives the app a subscription token, which is stored so the app can tell you that your tanker has been accepted or has arrived. Turning notifications off removes it.

Photos

Photographs of tankers and drivers, uploaded by the business that operates them, so you can see who is coming.

What is not collected

No advertising identifiers. No tracking across other apps or websites. No contact list, no photos other than the ones deliberately uploaded, no SMS, no microphone, no background location. Nothing is sold to anybody, and nothing is shared with advertisers or data brokers.

Payment

Water is paid for in cash to the driver, at the door, after the tank is filled. The app never handles card details or bank details and never takes a payment.

Who can see what

A tanker business sees the orders placed with it — your name, delivery address and the order — because that is what a delivery needs. It cannot see your other orders, your other addresses, or anything about other customers. Other customers can see nothing about you. Support staff running the service can see accounts and orders in order to settle disputes and collect fees.

How long it is kept

Your account and its orders are kept while your account exists. Position reports from a delivery are kept with that delivery. If you delete your account, see below.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and its data from inside the app, or by asking. See Delete your account for both routes and for exactly what is removed and what has to be kept.

Children

The app is meant for adults arranging deliveries to a household or business and is not directed at children.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored hashed. The database enforces, row by row, that an account can only read its own records — this is a rule inside the database itself, not a check the app can be talked out of.

Changes

If this changes in a way that affects what is collected, the date at the top changes and the app says so.
